Droz Report: Art Extravaganza Weekend
Here’s what I’m doing this weekend: The (E)merge arts fair is Thursday, on the same night that the simultaneous Submerge festival is launching. This is no coincidence, and both will last throughout the weekend.  On Saturday, you don’t want to miss Art All Night, happening throughout the Shaw Neighborhood.  (For the record, my hometown of Pittsburgh invented Art All Night:...

Jon Stewart does it again.  Here, he shows how the mainstream media is blatantly ignoring Ron Paul.  Ron Paul is much closer than any Mitt Romney or Rick Parry would every want him to be.  That Michelle Bachmann made it this far is amazing.  But Ron Paul planted the seeds of the movement that voted her in.

The White House is having a competition of the best high school in the United States, and my high school is in the top six!  Watching this video (and voting for CAPA)  really brought me back.  I was in the second graduating class and used to do the morning announcements, and it really was a meaningful high school experience.  Vote for CAPA-the Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and...

Crazy Week ahead!!
This is going to be a CRAZY week.  For starters, my computer(s) are still a little goofy, my Droid phone still in the sewer, my DLSR camera needs some repairs, I have three stacks of business cards that Im supposed to email, and a law firm wants me to work part time.   On Monday I have a Photo gig with the Capitol Archaeological Institute, which is awesome because I was an Anthropology major in...

Hemp - An Excellent Alternative to Plastic →
alacartelife: This is definitely worth looking at.  Thanks Ally!!! “Aisslinger used heat to press together organic materials, like hemp, with a water-based glue, resulting in an eco-friendly composite. The composite is stiff, thin, and can be manufactured inexpensively, making it an excellent alternative to plastic.” - Fast Company It seems hemp is proving to be an eco-friendly...

My computer crashed
Yesterday, as I was tryng to be productive, my anti-virus alerted me that my computer was infected with a W32 worm virus. The program searched my computer and found 50 infected files, and then recommended that I quarantine them. What I didn’t know was that this was actually a lie, my comport was in fact, infected with a piece of spyware posing as anti virus. I was dumb and annoyed so I...

Congress Working HARD
It’s 11pm on Tuesday night and I am watching Congress live on C-SPAN.  From my limited understanding, they are debating the “Continuing Resolutions” bill, in which members are suggesting some 400 amendments to the 2011 Budget that President Obama released yesterday, H.R. 1.  Each amendment is an idea for changing one specific budget cut of X million dollars, to move it from one...

Karma DOES exist
Yesterday I was approached at Five Guys by someone that claimed to be an injured, discharged marine named William James Cryer.  He was on his was back home from his base in Arlington but, because of a train delay, was $20 short of his new ticket.  After we talked for several minutes, he gave me his discharge information as collateral for a $20 bill.  The second I gave it to him he dissappeared. ...
