It’s 11pm on Tuesday night and I am watching Congress live on C-SPAN. From my limited understanding, they are debating the “Continuing Resolutions” bill, in which members are suggesting some 400 amendments to the 2011 Budget that President Obama released yesterday, H.R. 1. Each amendment is an idea for changing one specific budget cut of X million dollars, to move it from one program to another.
Two Things:
1. Is this what is actually happening? I could be mixing everything up.
2. Is this actually happening? Congress is like in a crisis of having to cut thousands of jobs because of our quadrillion dollar debt/deficit fandagle. It’s Midnight and NOT a filibuster!!
